WHAT IS A ZINE?
A zine is an unofficial, collaborative publication typically featuring both illustrations and writings.IS THIS ZINE FOR PROFIT?
HOTSHOT is a for-profit zine. All proceeds will first go to production, then to seeing that our entire team receives a full bundle of all our products, and if there are any remaining proceeds we will aim to compensate our contributors and mods evenly.IS THIS ZINE NSFW?
No. HOTSHOT is meant to be thirsty, but there will be no explicit content.ARE SHIPS ALLOWED IN THIS ZINE
HOTSHOT is a general Bakugou fashion zine and will not feature ships, but other characters may be included.HOW MANY CONTRIBUTORS WILL YOU ACCEPT?
25-30 artists

APPLICATIONS

Thank you for your interest in applying to HOTSHOT. Please review these guidelines carefully so that you know what we’re looking for in your application.HOTSHOT is a for-profit Bakugou Fashion Zine (but make it thirsty), meaning the content will be piping hot but non-explicit. No ships will be featured in this zine and all pieces must be Bakugou-centric.GENERAL REQUIREMENTSAs we are a for-profit zine with high levels of thirst, all applicants must be 18 or older at the time of application.If accepted, you will be required to have a discord and join our server—this will be how we communicate throughout the creation period.We are looking for 3 of your best works! Your samples should showcase the type of style and quality you are willing to create for this zine.We are not a NSFW zine, and SFW samples are preferred but not required. If any of your samples include NSFW content, they must be explicitly marked as such.Please refrain from using samples depicting problematic content (i.e. noncon/dubcon, incest, underage, scat, bestiality, necrophila, etc…)In depth requirements per each role are listed below; we look forward to your application!○ ○ ○WRITERSWe will be looking for 3 of your best written works!Your samples should follow these guidelines:
• 2,000 to 3,000 words (a 100 word leeway is applicable on both ends)
• At least 1 sample must be a completed work
• Excerpts of longer works are allowed but they must be able to be read as a stand alone
• At least 1 sample must include Bakugou for characterization purposes
• A link to your portfolio is optionalWe will be judging your application based on:
Syntax, Grammar, Spelling, and Flow
General Storytelling and overall Appeal
Characterization
Originality and CreativenessSamples should be submitted via Google Docs. Please ensure that sharing is enabled as we will not be able to review your application if we cannot access your links.○ ○ ○ARTISTSWe are looking for 3 of your best finished works, along with your portfolio!Your samples should follow these guidelines:
• All samples should be completed, fully-rendered works (no sketches!)
• All works should include backgrounds
At least one sample should include a detailed background
All other samples should include simple backgrounds (fully rendered, no flats or gradients)
• At least 1 sample should be BNHA (Bakugou samples are not required but encouraged)
• All works should include characters/humans
• If you are interested in creating a comic, we recommend including comic samples in your portfolio
• Your application should include a portfolio that contains a minimum of 5 samplesWe will be judging your application based on:

Color Palette
Style and Technical SkillIf submitting samples via Google Drive, please ensure sharing is enabled. We cannot review your application if we’re unable to access your samples.○ ○ ○MERCH ARTISTSWe are looking for 3 of your best merch designs, along with your portfolio!Your samples should follow these guidelines:
• All samples should be completed, fully-rendered works (no sketches!)
• At least 1 sample should be BNHA (Bakugou samples are not required but encouraged)
• Samples provided should be designs of previously created merch items, or drawings that could be made into merch (eg. charms/stickers/pins/etc.). These aren’t required to have a background
• If you are interested in contributing a print, 1 sample must be a fully rendered piece with a background
• Your application should include a portfolio that contains a minimum of 5 samplesWe will be judging your application based on:

Color Palette
